New scholarship to reward excellence in HSC Science

A new scholarship scheme by the Mauritius Telecom Foundation will provide an additional opportunity to recognise academic excellence among Higher School Certificate (HSC) students on the Science Side.

The scholarship will be awarded to the best-performing HSC student on the Science Side, ranking immediately after the State Scholarship Laureate. The initiative aims to reward outstanding academic achievement and support another high-performing student in pursuing further studies.

To establish the scheme, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource will issue drafting instructions to the Attorney-General’s Office for the preparation of the necessary legislation governing the establishment, administration and award of scholarships under the proposed Mauritius Telecom Foundation Scheme.
