Traffic fines payable online as from 30 October 2026

The public will be able to pay fixed penalties electronically for traffic offences not carrying penalty points as from 30 October 2026.

Available through the Supreme Court Portal, this facility will be introduced following the promulgation of the Road Traffic (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 3) Regulations 2026. Users will be required to authenticate their identity through their MauPass account before entering the Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) number and vehicle registration mark. Payments may be made through MauCAS QR Code payment applications, such as Juice or Pop, or by credit or debit card.

During the initial phase of implementation, online payment will be restricted to offences that do not carry penalty points. The facility will also be conditional upon the FPN having been entered into the system by the Mauritius Police Force.

In a second phase, the online payment facility will be extended to all traffic offences, including those carrying penalty points. It will also cover Photographic Enforcement Device Notices issued for speeding offences detected by the 63 speed cameras located across the island.
