Rwandan Minister of Labour pays courtesy call on Prime Minister
The Minister of Public Service and Labour of the Republic of Rwanda, Ms Christine Nkulikiyinka, paid a courtesy call today on the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis today.
The Minister indicated that the meeting reaffirmed the cordial relations between Mauritius and Rwanda, and focused on strengthening collaboration in labour-related matters, which remain a global concern.
She underscored that, as African nations, both countries should continue to work closely together and learning from one another to accelerate development.
The Minister also highlighted the candidacy of Mrs Louise Mushikiwabo for the position of Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.
During her visit, the Minister is expected to meet her Mauritian counterpart and other stakeholders to further discuss cooperation in labour matters and skills development, particularly in preparing young people for the labour market.
