First International Public Sector Conference to be held in Mauritius

The first International Conference on Public Sector Management, Administration, Policy and Public Finance will be held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Public Service and Innovation from 28 to 30 October 2026.

The Conference will bring together academics, researchers, policymakers, Public Officers and doctoral students from Mauritius and the region to share research and explore innovative approaches to strengthen public sector management and service delivery.

Organised in collaboration with leading public higher education institutions, namely the University of Mauritius, the University of Technology, Mauritius, and the Open University of Mauritius, the conference will bring together academic expertise and public sector perspectives to foster meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange.

It will also address a range of key thematic areas of strategic importance to the public sector, including public sector innovation and reform; change management; governance and compliance; leadership and institutional capacity; human resource management; and public sector economics.

Other themes to be discusssed include digital transformation; Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies; sustainable development; procurement and supply chain management; crisis management; local government; and citizen service delivery.
