Mr Somduth Soborun sworn-in as Member of Equal Opportunities Commission

Mr Somduth Soborun took Oath of Office as Member of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) before the President of the Republic, Mr Dharam Gokhool, in accordance with section 27(1G) of the Equal Opportunities Act for a four-year term.

The swearing-in ceremony was held today at the State House, Le Réduit, in presence of the Chairperson of the EOC, Mrs Carolyn Desvaux de Marigny.

Speaking after the ceremony, Mr Soborun underscored the importance of the principle of equal opportunities, stressing that everyone deserves a fair chance in life.

He expressed his commitment to contributing to the work of the Commission and to advancing its efforts to ensure that equal opportunities become a reality for all.
