Mauritius to host Africa Credit Rating Conference in October
The
Africa Credit Rating Conference focusing on the theme “Towards Developing
African Capital Markets: Rechannelling Africa’s Capital”, will be held in
Mauritius from 05 to 06 October 2026.
In the same context, the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA), a continental initiative spearheaded by the African Peer Review Mechanism, will also be launched in Mauritius on 07 October 2026.
It is recalled that Mauritius emerged as the top candidate to host the Headquarters of AfCRA following a competitive evaluation process involving several African Union Member States. This reiterates Mauritius’s positioning as a stable, well-regulated and credible International Financial Centre.
The Conference and establishment of AfCRA in Mauritius are expected to further strengthen the country’s positioning within Africa’s evolving financial architecture and reinforce its role as a platform for African financial policy dialogue, capital mobilisation and development financing.
