Weather: the heavy rain warning lifted

No heavy rain warning is currently in effect in Mauritius. The advisory has been lifted, according to a statement issued by the Vacoas weather station at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 22 January.

“Active clouds that were affecting the weather are dissipating as they move westward. The risk of heavy thunderstorm showers has significantly decreased,” the meteorological service stated.

However, the situation continues to be closely monitored by the weather station.
