Specialised healthcare services to benefit from new MoUs
The
Ministry of Health and Wellness will sign two Memoranda of Understanding with
CK Birla Healthcare Private Ltd (CK Birla Hospital), Gurgaon, and the Calcutta
Medical Research Institute (CMRI), Kolkata, India, to enhance specialised
healthcare services through structured collaboration.
The agreements will support capacity building for Mauritian healthcare professionals, provide technical assistance to upgrade local medical facilities, and facilitate access to advanced treatments not currently available locally.
Additionally, the agreements will promote cooperation in specialised fields, such as onco-surgery, neurosurgery, nephrology, cardiac electrophysiology, critical care and advanced laparoscopy, while strengthening continuous medical education and streamlining referral services for patients requiring highly specialised care.
