Budget 2026-2027: Reinforces Public Sector Transformation and Anti-Drug Efforts

To strengthen public services and prepare Mauritius for the Artificial Intelligence-driven economy, the 2026–2027 Budget provides for the training of 5,000 public officers in the safe and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a view to enhancing productivity and improving public service delivery.

Furthermore, the Government will ensure that all public sector bodies and institutions contribute actively to the national fight against drugs.
