Prime Minister meets Absa Group Chief Executive
The Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, met Absa Group Chief Executive, Mr Kenny Fihla, this afternoon, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis. Mr Fihla was accompanied by the Managing Director of Absa Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, Mr Ravin Dajee.
In a statement, the Absa Group Chief Executive indicated that discussions focused on the greater role that Mauritius can play in facilitating better wealth management and supporting business growth. Mr Fihla reaffirmed Absa’s commitment to Mauritius, deeming the country a very important part of the Group’s operations. He added that the Republic serves as a preferred treasury hub for many of its African clients.
According to him, amidst the global challenges, Mauritius offers significant opportunities for wealth diversification and management by leveraging its numerous strengths namely its good regulation environment, and safe destination.
